When I try to download a very large file, I get a message telling me there is not enough space on the disk. I know there is enough space. What is happening?

You are trying to download a very large file, but the drive that the file is being written to is use the FAT32 file system. The FAT32 file system has a file size limitation of 4 gigabytes. Once the download reaches that point, you will get an "out of space" error. If you are running a Windows NT based operating system, you may be able to reformat or convert your drives to a file system that does not have this limitation (NTFS). Doing so is beyond the scope of this FAQ, and may result in data loss.
