DC++ FAQ » Using DC++ » Errors

ID #1091

Each time I start DC++ it says "Failed to create port mappings. Please set up your NAT yourself." What does that mean?

The message indicates that you have a UPnP mode selected in DC++, but your operating system, router, or firewall does not support it or is not configured properly.

Either try to fix UPnP or set up port forwarding yourself.
