DC++ FAQ » Using DC++

ID #1087

Why does my DC++ filter search results?

DC++ does not hide search results from you. However, due to the way searches work on the network, every search result is given to every open search window. This is even true of searches that happen in the background, notably those to find alternate sources. If one of those search hits matches the terms entered into the window, it will be displayed.

DC++ is not causing you to miss results for searches. It is telling you, ordinarily, that you have other searches going on in the background, and that they do not match the search terms in your current window.
